When Zantar was born I looked at my husband and said, "He's the one I've been waiting for all these years - he stays!"  His show career started at siz months of age and lasted until I got interested in competitive riding.  Naturally, Zantar was my  competitive horse even though he was a stallion.  We showed during the summer and competitive rode in the fall (that's when there were only a few rides). 
As time progressed, I changed horses and Zan changed riders.  He has a record of competing and placing seven years in the UMECRA top ten with four different riders.  Zan was Top Ten HW in 1973 and 1977 with me, in 1976 and 1978 with Linda Rudolphi, in 1982 with Elinore Tonsor, and Top Ten LW in 1979 and 1980 with Kelly Crowe.  This year, 1982, Zan and Elinore placed in the Top Ten at the International Arabian Horse Competitive Ride in Canada.
