Ride Updates

Hi everyone! What a wonderful and interesting season this has been! Congratulations to EVERYONE who took part in the competitions this year. From those of you who competed in your first ride, to our members who participated and placed well in the North American Championships, we are proud of all of you. From horses who completed their first miles, to those who completed up to their multi-thousandth mile, we applaud all. We say a special prayer for those horses who have left us to run tirelessly across the heavens. We rejoice for those members who have found the horse of dream, the one with whom they will share a bond and span the miles across the years.
We would like to invite everyone to attend the AHDRA awards ceremony on Friday, January 20th, at the annual UMECRA convention at the Clock Tower Inn in Rockford, Illinois. You need not be an AHDRA member to join us. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar are an extra enticement. I assure you that the AHDRA awards this year are nothing short of spectacular, and watching their presentation and unveiling will be close to an art show.

membership cards
Our UMECRA Board of Directors voted to distribute membership cards for the 2012 season. We are optimistic that the cards will provide confirmation that membership dues have been received and processed. The cards will be mailed upon receipt of your dues payment. In the event you do not receive your card within thirty (30) days of payment, please notify Jill at Jfeller@nconnect.net or 920.948.9502.
Please also provide your membership number on the 2012 ride entry forms as they will be used to calculate points.
AHDRA Points UPdate
If you think you are going to be placing in AHDRA's Year End Points, we need a picture of your winning horse (along with yourself, if you so desire) to use for the Year End Awards. We need this by November 15th. If we do not recieve a photo by that time, your Year End Award will contain a generic photo. It will be a pretty photo, but it won't be your horse.
